How Scottish standards describe a fire door
Scottish building standards do not use the FD30 and FD60 labels the trade uses. They describe how long a door holds back fire as a short, medium or long fire resistance duration. These are the same thing, written differently.

How often, and who decides
Fire safety duties in Scotland sit with the duty holder under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, enforced by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. The duty is to keep fire safety measures in working order, not simply to have installed them.
There is no fixed national inspection timetable in Scottish law. The interval comes from your fire risk assessment and depends on the building, how it is used, and how hard the doors work. A quiet office and a busy student HMO with identical doors will not need the same frequency.
Where a contractor has handed you a schedule based on English rules, it is worth checking whether it reflects your actual risk assessment rather than a regime that does not apply here.
